Tokyo in Spring!

If there’s one place I am absolutely in love with even before having been there, it would definitely be Japan. For me it spells colourful temples, bright lights, pretty blossoms, and the best tempura and sashimi (oh, I just LOVE LOVE this one!). Like my favourite things rolled into one sushi!

This trip starts in Tokyo, continues to Kyoto, and ends in Osaka. If you have limited time, I highly suggest flying in of Tokyo and out of Osaka. Given that we only have six short and cold days (yes, the cold weather slowed us down because it’s difficult to walk), our itinerary is a little crammed but very much manageable (coz I prepared it hehe).

We travelled during the first week of spring. And yeah, I said cherry blossoms! Keep on reading! 😀

Kyoto for first-timers

Japan’s old capital certainly got its own charm. It’s a city so rich in culture and history that it could be overwhelming to a regular tourist. But whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or just passing by to snap some good photos, Kyoto surely has something for you.

It is, not surprisingly, home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The good news is you don’t have to travel far in-between to enjoy most sights – one of the reasons I love this place, it’s just so hard to miss the good spots.

If you’re pressed for time, you definitely should check this list first. This itinerary can easily be done in 1-2 days. Keep on reading! 😀

Eat, Play, Snorkel in Maldives

Maldives is one of those destinations that stays on top of my wish list but haven’t really thought about going. I guess it always appealed to me as a honeymoon destination, a little too unseemly at the time for the single city girl that I am :). But when an opportunity to go came up, I said yesss in a heartbeat! And boy was I glad for that. Keep on reading! 😀
